The Nobushi are an order of assumed peasant warriors, very selective and well trained in their unique fighting style, as it is with most Samurai factions. They created and developed their own fighting styles to pass on and improve and function despite their weakness in armor and weapons. And thus, they become unique exotic warriors, that are far superior than the hordes of minions that are sent on the battlefield.
The Nobushi make their own armor from paper and bamboo, Because of the lack of armor available, and the exotic surprising versatile pole arm they wield, their fighting style is based on being fast and aggressive, instead of reactive like other Samurai. But they are swift enough to have a luxury of choosing how and when to strike. The order of the Nobushi was founded to protect the peasants from the Samurai, they defend the people as the Samurai would defend their lords, even against the Samurai. Yet they are thankful for the Nobushi's existence, because they protect the people from criminals even from invaders. Yet nobody outside their order seems to know who they are, where their headquarters are, why they join or if they are connected to the ninja clans..
Story campaign[]
In the campaign, a Nobushi named Momiji is an ally to the player when they play as the Orochi.
